The haunting city of Pompeii is one of the most popular attractions on any trip to Italy. However, it can be difficult to manage without transport. We suggest you take our comfortable air-conditioned coach down the Highway of the Sun to discover this acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Skip the Lines into Ancient Pompeii

Your tour will begin by joining your English-speaking tour leader in Rome. They will travel with you through the region of Campania which they know so well and they will also deal with the lines and entrance tickets for you.

After skipping the lines you’ll enter the archaeological zone to discover what has been uncovered from underneath the 4 meters of rubble and ash that rained down on this spot in 79AD. This is an experience far removed from the dry history of a museum as you will be able to walk through the preserved rooms, shops and monuments that are just as they were since the eruption.

Look down from Mt Vesuvius on the Bay of Naples

From April to mid-November you will have the rare opportunity to climb to the top of one of the deadliest volcanoes in Europe. Your coach will take you most of the way up Mt. Vesuvius and the remaining hike is enjoyable and worth it to see the steaming calderas and the view of the landscape below with Sorrento and Capri set in the sea like jewels on a crown.

Free time in the city of Naples

From mid-November to March instead of visiting Mt. Vesuvius ,after exploring the ancient ruins of Pompeii, your bus will take you to the lively city of Naples. Naples offers a contrast to Rome and you can stroll along the waterfront, explore the art deco Umberto I Gallery, or Castle Nuovo, the royal seat of the Bourbon kings.

No matter what time of the year you visit Italy, don’t let the distance stop you from taking a trip to the haunting city of Pompeii.
